misc things

I seem to be doing very well on scd. Have had a couple of pain/angziety
flareups since i've been on it, but no nausia this time. Definitly
progress there. I've been out of the hospital for about a month now with
no real relapses or nausia. Here's to hoping it stays that way!

I've finally decided to get my paperwork in order to get my state id
sorted. Initially it seems to be easier then it looked. Least the state
of New York seems to be cooperating to get me the court order of
adoption i need. And they actually didn't charge me, I'm impressed!

The reason I've finally decided to get things in order is 2 things. 1.
Looking at my options for another dog I can't really decide if I want to
try for home training for another dog with fidelco, or spend 2 weeks in
Nj at seeing eye. Training at home has advantages. I can train in my
environment and things like that. This would be ideal for scd and still
may be what i'll do. I could go back to seeing eye, and i still may
however I almost would rather train at home this time. I have more
reasons to want to train at home these days...

A couple weeks ago google sent me another recruiting email. This is the
second time now that google has tried to hire me for sysadmin. I'm still
unable to work at this point which is frustrating, however when i
suggested they might want to interview chris, they took me up on it.
He's got his second interview wednesday the 18th. Let's pray he aces
this one like he did his first interview.

We really want to get out of florida. In his first interview, google
offered him washington, oregon, california or atlanta. Chris told them
washington or oregon. Washington would be most ideal for us since it's
in the Seatle area. Public transit is supposedly farely decent there for
the most part.

I will probably put training for a dog on hold till we see what google
says. It would be hard to train here for a dog, we're blocked in by a
main road so home training here wouldn't be very ideal.

I think what i will probably do is that if google doesn't hire chris,
then I'll probably eventually go to seeing eye for a dog just because
training for a dog there would be more ideal then here. However, if we
move to say washington or oregon then i'll probably end up doing home
training just because either would probably be more ideal for training a
dog then here.

Oh well, time to wait and see!

well this is annoying

So, i was happilly making yoghurt this morning. Did everything right got
it in the yoghurt maker to cool, and promptly fried the new talking
kitchen thurmometer i just baught. Well, i dont know that it's fried yet
but i wouldn't be surprised. It got wet enough to start randomly
spouting off weird temps and so on.

We pulled it out dried it off, let's hope it still works once it's dry.
I've got 1 more batch of yoghurt to make this week. So, here's to hoping.

whee

So my almond flour came yesterday. I've been super excited about this
because it means i can start eating bread type things again. My mom went
to the store for some of her groceries and braught me home a jar of
organic peanutbutter soi could make some biscuits from a recipe i had.

http://pecanbread.com/new/recipes/teabiscuits.html

The biscuits came out wonderful. Chris ate 2 and enjoyed them. My mom
ate 2 and said she was full after the second. I ate 2 and tend to agree.
They're very very filling.

I'm going to the store tomorrow to get the remains of what i need. I
need to get the milk so i can make yoghurt. A lot of the baking recipes
call for yoghurt or dripped yoghurt so i actually need to make both things.

We ordered a talking kitchen thurmometer which is a good thing. It's a
bit hard to rely on someone sited to check the temp of the milk to
ensure it hits the right temperature. Hopefully today or tomorrow the
thurmometer will get here.

The breaking the vicious cycle book has a recipe for bread in it. I want
to try and make this though i dont have a loaf pan. Might make it
similar to flat bread or in that banana cake pan i use. It will come out
flat but it wont be bad and can still put things on it like honey and so on.
